Edit existing text

No special text mode is required. Existing PDF words are detected automatically. Click a word on the page to edit that word. Double-click any detected word to select and edit the surrounding paragraph. Scanned pages are recognized automatically with OCR. Adjust the Cover color when the page background is not white.

Annotations

Choose a tool, then click or drag on the page. Use Select to move or resize items.

Pages

Drag thumbnails to reorder. Rotate, duplicate, delete, insert blank pages, or merge another PDF.

Shortcuts

Delete remove selected · Ctrl/⌘ Z undo · Ctrl/⌘ Shift Z redo · Ctrl/⌘ S export.

Privacy

Files are processed on this device. OCR downloads its engine/language data when needed, but your PDF page is not uploaded for recognition.

Text-edit limitation

Existing text is visually replaced by covering the original and drawing the edited text above it. This is suitable for document editing, but it is not secure redaction of the original PDF content stream.
